Clean accommodation, attentive and efficient staff in good customer service. Spotless units with very comfortable beds. Helpfulness of the staff. Unbeatable and quiet location to Church of st Martin. Also - so close to the pub, and the centre.

Unbeatable location for our visit to a Jacobean - style manor house within walking distance of the hotel. Helpfulness from the whole staff.

Excellent quality in meals

The food was great, and the room wassuper clean and cozy. The team made sure I had breakfast ready early, appreciated during my travels. I liked spending time with the kids in the play area, seeing them have fun while I enjoyed the local beer.

I had to wait for my room for a while, which wasn't ideal. The TV didn't have many channels, but I was too busy exploring to care about that.

Great hotel with free wi-fi, a cozy bar area, and a lovely restaurant. The attentive staff once helped me with my elderly parents. I'll be back for another holiday!

Cozy pub with great food!

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the cozy vibe of the place. The food was amazing-had a delish lamb dish and breakfast was solid too. Super friendly staff, they even rearranged our rooms so we were next to each other. Only wish the showers had a bit more pressure, but overall it seemed like home.

The leek and potato soup was excellent, and the portions were generous. Be aware of potential noise from the pub outside during evenings.

We had a wonderful dinner with some delicious leek and potato soup and sweet and sour chicken that we couldn't stop raving about. The kids loved the games in the lounge and we enjoyed some quiet time on the terrace. Just a heads up, the bar closed a bit earlier than we expected at 10pm, but it didn’t take away from our great experience! 😊

I stayed at the Miners Arms on the weekend and really liked the cozy atmosphere of the pub. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. Freshly cooked, it set us up for the day. The staff were friendly, always ready to chat and help out. Dinner was delicious too. I had the fish and chips that were perfectly cooked with crispy batter. The room needed some updates. The decor felt tired, and the mattress was quite worn. The bathroom could use better lighting as it was dim. We heard noise from outside, hard to sleep, especially during busy times. I would return for the food and staff but hope for improvements in the rooms.

The room was bright and clean, definitely comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. It was a decent size with lovely views from the window. Just keep in mind there's a high step up into the shower, which could be tricky for some. Otherwise, it had a nice decor that fit the historical vibe of the inn.

It wasn't cheap, but still reasonable for the quality we got.

The standard double room was cozy, and the location is perfect, close to a friendly traditional pub with great food. I had the tastiest breakfast ever, and the lovely little touches like biscuits in the room made it special.
